What do women(who aren't in the military) wear to Navy retirements? - what to wear to a military retirement
My brother has retired from the Navy, and I do not know what they wear. I know that this announcement be in vogue, or should do something, but maybe someone can help. ;)

It depends on the season, location and time of day.
ReplyDeleteWhen soldiers in uniform type Camoflauge (and yes, I was in ceremonies, especially if it was Seabees), or work uniforms, and the ceremony in the morning or evening instead, then d 'Business Casual is acceptable.
When the ceremony was five, and one will wear a dress military service (the usual) is to retire, it is) the equivalent of a suit and tie (church clothes / apparel job interview and should dress accordingly.
In rare cases of soldiers who held the decided at a ceremony in the evening (with a dress disaster, yes, also seen), then formal is required.
Remember to dress for the weather (can, inside or outside ceremony). You do not need "hats and gloves, if you need to block the sunlight and keep warm fingers.
One need only conservative, elegant and refined. Do not wear long nails with bright paint or four eight-inch heels. Do nothingmoody, crazy with your hair or makeup or jewelry. One more thing ... These events are very important in general and to play ... Use waterproof mascara ... and have a beautiful lace handkerchief.

Hat and gloves are optional.
But it is a formal affair.
Smart casual, but absolutely clean (as clean shoes ... they are aware of these things). Nothing on the top with separate washroom and thighs. What would you choose for an interview or to church? Choose what you relax a little.
ReplyDeletea pretty dress (which a lot of skin showing), or a Nice dress shirt and slacks (no jeans, khaki pants style DRESSY) quieter is better than something flashy
